Peppina Gelo is a collaboration between Paolo Vitaletti, owner of Peppina Pizzeria's and Joe Sloane of Sloane’s. With Paolo's pizza expertise and Sloane's food production knowledge they created Peppina Gelo, a range of frozen pizzas following the strict standards of Peppina’s Neoplitana pizzas.
Peppina Gelo pizzas are produced the same way as all Peppina restaurants using one of Peppina’s pizza ovens, then blast frozen and packaged ready for cooking at home.
The secret to our dough is that we understand our ingredients; only water, sea salt, flour and yeast go into our dough. The dough should be pillowy and soft, and slightly elastic, with a crispness only at the edges of a blistered crust.
